AQHA Region 2 Experience

Just wanted to post some more exciting news once again. a few other girls and myself went out to rapid city for the quarter horse regional experience and IT WAS A BLAST! 5 days of nothing but showing... and some drinking. penny peterson and janet hansen are in our little group with dubbed "team girl" brought home buckles! vanessa did really well on hollywood and jen and i are on the AQHA website under regional experience 2008 in review. I even entered barrels on my 2 year old reining prospect and got 6th out of 12. i about fell over when i heard that. and she's only 2! the photo of atari and i is the one aqha took, and the other gal is my girlfriend vanessa and her stup hollywood which is also atari's sire.

I hope all of you are having fun at the 360 right now at this moment. i wanna see pics on this blog! have one 4 me! i wanna schedule another sometime soon not next weekend though

We gotta get together again!

We all need to get together again sometime soon. The Canaries get together was a fun time. Even if we just all meet up somewhere to hang out and catch up on whats going on with each of us. Any suggestions of where or when?

Any word from Crystal on her event?

I was just looking over the last few blogs and I am wondering how Crystals event went. Has anyone heard? Or Crystal, if you're out there.... how'd it go. How's your mare and the pregnacy?

How have calendar sales been going for everyone? Hopefully we will be getting a finished product soon!! Yeah, how exciting.

I watched the eye on keloland tonight and cindy heidi and darci you girls look great! Lilly looks beautiful also! Of course spirit had to show his stuff and push lilly around and throw the tire feeder around a little... what a show off! lol!

I am so glad keloland got to come out and do a story. The story turned out great and I got to yell " i know someone on TV!" Congrats!

Busy busy busy...

I am so excited about this i wanted to share it with all of you. This is my 2 year old reining prospect. She is out of a son of Hollywood Dun It and a Mr Basic Black mare. I spent about a month in march working with her and doing ground work, and then turned her out to grow. but today i finally got time to work with her and got on! We are going to the Regional Experience in Rapid in Sept. Now it time to get serious. I am trying to get 30 days on her and get the basics done and then she is going to go to the reining trainer for 30 days to hopedfully start spins, rollbacks and slides. it is so neat watching her stop when i lounge her now, she tucks her but right under just like she should. :) I think she has a promising future.

I have 3 calanders sold and paid for... i am taking our zip drive into the printer monday to get order forms printed off ( the forms with all of us) My shirts from cafepress should be here anyday. they were shipped last tuesday... I totally think something tried to eat me alive... my husband thinks and jokes that i "rolled in the hay with some other guy" and got bit by chiggers. i honestly hope they are gone by friday otherwise i'm wearing a turtle neck... help! i've already had quinton paint my enitre top half with finger nail polish (he complained the whole time... jk)

How are the calendar sales going? I have a few people that have promised to buy one. I just need to get the order form printed out (will try to do this weekend) and get it to them. Even one of the docs I work with is gonna buy one. Can't wait to see everyone at the birdcage next month!

Wow Crystal, what a busy girly you are!! But it all sounds pretty fun, except the pregnancy part. I'll be keeping your mare in my prayers.

Who is coming to promote the calendar at the Birdcage on August 2nd? I am planning on being there, it should be more fun than my last attempt at promotion. That was at the Dakota Country Music Festival in Madison about a month ago and it rained and winded me right out!!!

Hola Chickys!

My husband is a grapic design artist for the air guard in SF, do he did up an order form and a collage for me... I took a copy of the order form to the printer today and they are printing like 50 copies for me to start with. Hopefully they should be done Tuesday. Otherwise how is everyone else...
The stampede rodeo is here in mitchell this weekend. My son didn't make it into the muttin bustin draw... we are in for the bull bash though in august.
my arab mare is still pregnant with twins (and no its not exciting) worst case i could lose her and both foals. I have another ultrasound in august, we are hoping she'll absorb the smaller embro on her own. The photo of the horse is the stallion i bred her to out in hermosa. more updates as time goes on.
The rest of the horses are tired of the heat and tired of the flies. As am I. I am looking to start getting my hollywood dun it filly broke with in the next two weeks. I am hoping to show her at the state fair in huron and then at the regional experience in Rapid in Sept. I haven't ran my barrel horse too much. its just too hot. there is a competition in huron next tuesday that i am going to hit up otherwise not running her much.
my son is riding the the stuborn shetland not only by himself but bareback and trotting as well. what a little cowboy he is turning in to. lilly rode bareback for a minute while i lead her and she kept letting go and reaching for me b/c she wanted off. i told her she could get off if she did it herself. she swong her leg over and laid on the horses back on her stomach and her feet hit the ground and then her but did and she SCREAMED like she had gotten kicked or something. the horse just stood there like what is your problem... Lilly is content with leading the horses right now...
